Update on Enrollment for Summer 2010!
Last week, we opened enrolled to our returning campers for summer 2010, and we also began accepting bookings for next summer’s International Tour. As with previous years, the first program to fill was Jordi’s “Clown”! Film will be a close second, with just a couple of spots left on all the omega film programs.
A Return to International Tours!
Most of you will remember the International Tours we ran every summer, from the third to the eleventh year of Centauri. In fact, almost 100 of you joined us on those tours! We took a break from running tours for a while, after Aislyn joined our lives, but 2009 saw the first International Tour for three years! Sixteen lucky campers travelled with us to Scotland – first to experience the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and then to relax at a writing retreat in the Highlands. It was a hugely successful experience… one that we will be repeating next summer. The 2010 International Tour will be to England – focussing on the North East. We’ll explore the Viking and Medieval roots of the gorgeous city of York, wander the spectacular North York Moors, visit castles, abbeys and quaint Yorkshire villages, hunt for Vampires in the seaside town of Whitby, and then spend five days exploring art and writing in the stunning cliff-top village of Robin Hood’s Bay. A few spaces still remain on the Tour, which is open to anyone aged 13-19. You can read about it at
For the coming season, any camper (or camp parent) who refers another camper to us, will automatically receive a $50 tuck credit! This amount can be spent on camp merchandise or tuck items, during your session(s) at Centauri. To qualify for this tuck credit, you must refer a friend to Centauri, and that person must book on a camp program in summer 2010. The credit is not available for campers referring a sibling. Don’t forget to make sure your friend tells us where they heard about Centauri!
