Music Department

Our Music Department is the newest kid on the block, and includes Vocal Music programs and Instrumental programs which emphasise guitar, busking, band creation and song-writing!Campers have a chance to further their passion in music while taking inspiration from fellow campers and working alongside professionals who can help, advise and assist them.

Our Vocal Music campers discover new ways to grow as singers, working individually and collaboratively. The focus of singing programs in past years has included Jazz, Pop, History of Vocal Music and Musical Theatre. with programs offered for beginner singers and for the more advanced.  In addition to improving their technique and challenging themselves to work on fresh repertoire, singers explore the performance skills necessary to bring passion to a song, and to rise to legendary heights on stage! A recital on the final day enables campers to showcase the skills they have developed during the program.

Our Instrumental Music program has a unique focus. We don't teach you to play an instrument - we provide opportunities for you to grow creatively as a musician, by collaborating with others, writing your own music, forming bands, trying new styles and discovering more about the art of performance. Experienced players shoulder their guitars and other instruments, and join us for jamming sessions under the tents and in the music studios. If you play alone, and dream of being in a rock or blues band... if you are drawn to the idea of busking... if you want to develop the courage to play in front of others... if you like to form bands in your basement... this is the department for you !. At the end of sessions, campers hold concerts or record music, to put in practise everything they have learned.
