Create: A Multi-Arts Adventure!
Welcome to CREATE - a unique and exciting introduction to the arts, designed with younger campers in mind! In CREATE, campers participate in a thrilling, interactive adventure - playing characters and immersing themselves in an imagined world as they use the arts to uncover secrets, solve mysteries and overcome challenges. Some CREATE adventures focus on specific art forms, while others immerse campers in theatre, art, storytelling, dance, film, puppetry, music, writing and more. For campers with boundless energy and keen imaginations, CREATE is a unique summer experience that combines role-play and self discovery with a wild adventure in the arts!
The Quest for Film!
Session 3 - A (ages 9-14) Instructor: Matt Stein

The year is 2150, and film has been outlawed across the world. The art of the
film-maker has been lost, and the great film classics consigned to the bonfire.
This is where you come in! Inspired by mysterious filmmakers from the past, you
must attempt to recreate the lost art of cinema and rediscover the exciting film
styles of the twentieth century! In this unique Quest adventure campers will not
only be involved in an electrifying story but will also focus their creativity
into learning how to form short stories using film. Directing, lighting,
writing, designing sets and much more will be covered as campers create a
variety of short clips and scenes in order to restore film to the world!!!
Centauri and the Knights of the Round Table
Session 4 - A (ages 9-14) Instructor: Thea Fitz-James
Legend tells of a great king - Arthur - who pulled a sword from a stone, and united an island against its enemies. He stood for all things good and chivalrous, in a confusing world of monsters and magicians, tyrants and traitors. Join us on this heroic quest as we immerse ourselves in the ancient world of Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table! What challenges and dangers await us as we step forth bravely, armed only with our arts skills and our imaginations? Find yourself transported to medieval and mystical Britain, where storytelling, music, art and magic are almost as important as slaying that dragon.
