Each of our Musical Theatre Camps has a specific focus, such as vocal training, "triple threat" (acting, singing and dancing) or choreography and dance. The programs may also focus on a specific musical theatre style, period or composer.

Musical Theatre Dance
Session 1, ages 9-18. Instructor: Brandi Ferreira
Musical Theatre has everything a dancer could want: great songs,
exciting choreography and a chance to explore tons of dance styles:
ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, theatrical dance and more! Join us for a
thrilling journey into the world of musical theatre, and discover
how to combine dance and compelling stories, for that extra special
performance pizzazz! We'll explore the work of ground-breaking
choreographers such as Bob Fosse and Michael Bennett, learning how
their discoveries transformed musical theatre. We'll explore a
variety of exciting dance styles, create original choreography
together, learn how to ace an audition and rehearse a thrilling
musical theatre show to dazzle our audience on the final day.
This
program is appropriate for anyone who
has a reasonable level of
fitness, a ton of energy and a passion for dance!
Musical Theatre: From Starlet to Musical Star!
Session 1, ages 9-14 Instructor: Diane Oliveira
If
you love to sing and act, and you dream of performing sensational
numbers in front of a live audience, then join our musical theatre
ensemble this summer! Improve your singing, acting and dance skills
while developing self-confidence and poise on stage. We'll begin by
exploring the FUNdamentals of the thrilling “triple threat”, taking
workshops in vocal technique, singing, character creation, dance
styles and stage presence. Using these skills, we will then bring to
life some of the most inspiring musical theatre numbers ever
written, building exciting characters, singing challenging lyrics
and constructing original scenes with music from the ground up! For
our final
performance we'll join with the Musical Theatre Dance
department to create an explosive, toe-tapping performance that our
audience will never forget. This is your chance to be all you can
be, and MORE!
Vocal Music: Centauri Showchoir!
Session 2, ages 12+ Instructor: Rachel Cleland
Join
us for this brand new Showchoir program and you can expect to sing
some of the most exciting music ever written – from contemporary pop
to classic rock and from inspiring musical theatre numbers to
toe-tapping tunes from the 50s and 60s! Add workshops in vocal
technique, dance, microphone use, audition skills, motivational
technique and stage presence, and what do you have? An amazing
Showchoir, that's what! Celebrate vocal music with us in a
non-competitive yet challenging environment and learn to be the very
best singer you can be. Discover how vocal harmonies, group
movement, ensemble performance and a touch of dazzle can combine to
produce a Showchoir that uplifts the spirits and fills a room with
joy! Spend two weeks singing your heart out and
having fun with your
friends, then prepare a thrilling concert for the final day.

Musical Theatre: Triple Threat!
Session 3, ages 13-18. Instructor - Jeanette Hedley
A
chorus of voices explodes in song... bodies whirl in unison...
and the audience leaps to its feet and cheers! Musical Theatre
productions are filled with breath-taking ensemble performances
and this is your chance to share in the thrill of the Triple
Threat. We’ll begin with intensive workshops focusing on
movement, character development, vocal training, stage presence
and musical theatre repertoire as we hone our skills as
performers. Next, we’ll build for ourselves a sequence of
dazzling ensemble numbers in which we can showcase everything we
have learned, creating our own musical in the process. Joining
with the Stage Combat department, we’ll put together a truly
spectacular show for the final day – a ‘Triple Threat Times TWO’
– packed not only with terrific singing and dancing, but with
action scenes and stunning
fight sequences, as well.
Join us this summer as we play hard, work hard and revel in the
joy of the Triple Threat.
So You Want to be a POP Star!
Session 4, ages 8-14. Instructor – Hayley Preziosi
Do
you want to sing like a star? Then join us, and learn how to
make your voice the best it can be! Gain confidence as a
performer in our vocal ensemble, learning all about stage
presence, and how to warm up and take care of your voice.
Discover how to improve your singing technique, and find out how
to ace an audition. As we move into rehearsals we'll tackle
some of the most exciting music ever written – from contemporary
pop to classic rock and from inspiring show tunes to toe-tapping
melodies from the 50s and 60s. Our pop star program is all about
doing something you love, with people who share your interests:
learning new things and having fun along the way. Discover how
