An essential member of our management team, the Camp Nurse runs our
health centre, helps us to maintain a healthy and safe environment at camp
and deals with routine illness at camp. The nurse also maintains our health
records, liaises with local doctors and hospitals and is on call 24 hours a
day to deal with any emergency that may occur. Applicants must have strong
first aid skills, love camp, enjoy working with young people and have strong
leadership skills. Since our assistant camp director is an RN with 20 years'
experience this position would suit a graduate nurse, or a nurse at the
beginning of their career. The presence of an experienced RN at camp means
there is always support available, and therefore this position is an
excellent learning opportunity. The Camp Nurse receives training, a private
room on camp, all meals, a competitive salary and a fantastic summer
experience!
