Our summer Drama Classes include acting workshops that cover a wide range of styles and skills, from Improv to Clown, Collective Creation to Scene Study, Shakespeare to Film Acting, and we offer programs geared to all levels, from beginner to advanced.
If you love to act, then attending a residential drama camp is a terrific idea. Unlike weekly drama classes in your home community, a residential theatre program gives you the chance to work alongside actors and teachers from across North America and even further afield. Residential drama classes give you a chance to learn so much more than a weekly drama class, since you’ll likely be in workshops and rehearsals for more than six hours each day! Sleep-over camp gives you a unique chance to live in a community of people who share your interests; you won’t just take acting or drama classes together, you’ll participate in exciting camp activities, eat and live together, and make the special kind of memories that link friends for life.
Centauri Summer Arts Camp is located in the Niagara Region of Ontario, within easy reach of Toronto, Oakville, Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and Brampton. Our residential acting classes and drama workshops are available for young actors aged 9-18. Take acting workshops and drama classes each day and work towards an exciting final performance.
Young actors choose to focus on specific areas of performance training such as Musical Theatre, Stage Combat, Classical Theatre, Collective Creation, Playwriting, Acting for Film, Improvisation and Comedy. There are programs geared towards beginner and experienced performers, and everyone works towards a presentation for the final day. In addition to acting classes, campers also choose from electives in dance, art, music, singing, film, photography, creative writing, crafts and sports - all taught by experienced teachers and arts professionals. Centauri is a community for young people who love the arts, but it’s also a sleep-over camp - with an exciting range of camp activities to enjoy .
