In Centauri Arts Camp, time we have officially reached the middle of summer as Session Two reached it’s conclusion. Although the end of session is bittersweet, it was inspiring to hear several campers proclaim that this had been “the best summer camp” experience. What a wonderful realization that in creating the Centauri experience we are also creating memories that will stay with our campers for many more years.

Standing on our chairs singing Bohemian Rhapsody at the top of our lungs.
Cheering as loudly as possible after friends finish dress rehearsal performances.
Sharing Roses and Thorns with dorm mates.
Watching the entire Dining Hall dig into Korean food at the banquet.
Hearing campers proclaim to each other that they will stay in touch even after their time at Centauri draws to an end.

Whether you’re a brand new camper or a seasoned staff member, each session of Centauri provides new challenges and adventures. I hope that everyone who has gone home at the end of Session Two remembers the feeling of this artistic community, and applies the same open-mindedness and acceptance to their lives outside of camp.
