Each day, at a camp-wide meeting at the outdoor stage known as Flagpole, our campers can nominate one another for acts of kindness. Whoever is running flagpole reads the nominations, and campers are awarded with Meece, little fluffy souvenirs that have importance in our camp culture. Staff after often nominated, too, for their support and kindness, and occasionally the camp in general, for being a special place for all our campers. I wanted to share with you a Meece nomination that appeared in our box a couple of days ago:

“Dear Meece,

I would like to nominate Craig and Julie for creating this wonderful place. Without them, we wouldn’t be here today and we wouldn’t have all these lovely people to be friends with, and we would never have such a wonderful camp to call our second home. This act is not only based on their kindness, but also their love and peace. Please give them both a Meece!

From,

Anonymoose and the entire camp

It’s always lovely, in the midst of busy, busy camp days, to be reminded how much Centauri means to our campers, and how everyone’s efforts are appreciated!
