Dear Parents, Campers and Potential New Families

Though summer remains many weeks away, we are writing to reassure you that Centauri is closely monitoring the current COVID-19 pandemic, and making all necessary adaptations as the situation unfolds. We are closely following daily updates from all relevant organisations, including Public Health Ontario, the WHO, Health Canada and the Ontario Camps Association.

Centauri is all about community…

… and it’s community connection all of us need right now! Through regular posts on social media, camp storytelling sessions online, arts project suggestions you can do from home, daily writing prompts and much more, Centauri will be working hard to support our community over the next few weeks and keep all of us connected and inspired. Planning ahead for the summer

Camp season may seem far away, but we’re working hard to make our 26th year the best ever! Many of our programs are already full, and in addition to our regular summer plans, we’ll be implementing new health and safety protocols in the light of COVID-19 to ensure the well-being of our whole community. These include pre-screening of all campers and staff as well as additional hygiene and sanitation procedures. As the situation is ever-changing, details will be communicated to all our families just before summer begins.

Our Updated Cancellation Policy

Summer is many weeks away, and it remains likely that the worst of this crisis will have passed by camp season. Back in 2003, SARS was at its peak in April, and by the time camp season came around, the worst of the threat was behind us. However, we wish to reassure you that in the unlikely event overnight camps cannot run due to COVID-19, all our families will receive a 100% refund. With this in mind, you can continue to plan for an exciting – and safe – summer season with Centauri.

Our 26th Camp Season!

By Sunday evening, all our staff will have submitted proposals for the activities and workshops they hope to run this summer – we’ll be reading through all of them carefully and selecting the very best! For the first time, we’ll be involving our campers in this process. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to learn more about the terrific evening programs, banquets, theme suppers, festivals and arts activities we’ll be featuring for our campers this summer – Mexican and Ethiopia Banquets, superhero celebrations, an arts fringe festival, a mystery based on The Good Place, and more.

Stay safe – and join the Centauri Community online!
