What does a young person gain from a summer at Centauri? This note says it all: "Thank you to all your staff for the great experience you provide at Centauri. We were nervous about sending [our son] to camp... but his confidence is up, his politeness is up, his happiness is up, his work ethic has improved and I know his creative side has again been ignited. The works of art your campers produce are truly amazing. We are already planning to return next year." (The parent of a first time camper)
This was our first opportunity to film, and the campers took shots of each character wandering the beach. We had the area to ourselves the entire time. Our movie is called 'Hiraeth' - a Welsh word, for which there is no English equivalent. It means a longing for home so great that the person suffering from it can even sicken or die. We wrote the word in pebbles on the beach, then filmed it as the sun set over the sea. We always hope for a spectacular sunset on every tour, but rarely have we seen one as stunning as this. It was a magical, mystical end to a wonder-filled day.

Every once in a while, something happens at camp that, quite literally, makes dreams come true. Several campers told us their dreams came true two nights ago when we transformed Centauri to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
